Creator and Monetization Terms

Last updated: April 6, 2026

These Creator and Monetization Terms apply to all users who use or apply to use paid features, subscriptions, content unlocking, payouts, or any other monetization functionality on TrekJoin.

These terms supplement the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, and any other applicable policies published by TrekJoin.

Marketplace Model and Role of TrekJoin

TrekJoin operates as a technology platform that enables Creators to offer and monetize their content. TrekJoin is not the seller of any content and is not a party to any transaction between a Creator and a Customer.

All transactions for paid content, subscriptions, or other monetized features are concluded directly between the Creator and the Customer. The Creator is solely responsible for offering, delivering, and supporting their content.

TrekJoin does not own, control, or assume responsibility for any content sold by Creators.

Payments and Payment Processing

Payments on TrekJoin are processed through third-party payment service providers, including but not limited to Stripe. By using monetization features, Creators agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of such providers.

Stripe may provide services including payment processing, identity verification (KYC), fraud prevention, compliance checks, and payout processing. TrekJoin does not control and is not responsible for the services provided by Stripe or any other payment provider.

Creators may be required to complete onboarding and verification processes with Stripe in order to receive payouts. Failure to complete such requirements may result in delayed or suspended payments.

Payments made by Customers are collected on behalf of Creators and transferred to them in accordance with the payment provider’s processes. TrekJoin may act as a limited payment collection agent solely for the purpose of facilitating transactions.

Platform Fees

TrekJoin charges a service fee for the use of its platform and monetization features. This fee is deducted from payments made to Creators, or otherwise charged as specified within the platform.

The applicable fee structure may be updated from time to time and will be communicated within the platform.

Creator Responsibilities

Creators are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with their monetization activities.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • issuing invoices or receipts to Customers where required by law,
  • reporting and paying all applicable taxes, including income tax and value added tax (VAT),
  • determining their own tax obligations based on their country of residence or business registration.

TrekJoin does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice and is not responsible for any Creator’s compliance with such obligations.

Refunds and Customer Responsibility

Creators are responsible for handling customer inquiries, disputes, and refund requests related to their content, unless otherwise explicitly stated by TrekJoin.

TrekJoin may, at its sole discretion, intervene in disputes or issue refunds in order to protect the platform or comply with legal obligations.

Limitation of Liability for Transactions

TrekJoin is not responsible for the quality, legality, accuracy, or delivery of any content provided by Creators.

Any claims, disputes, or issues arising from a transaction must be resolved directly between the Customer and the Creator.

Creators acknowledge that TrekJoin may be required to collect and report certain information about their earnings to tax authorities in accordance with applicable laws (including DAC7 regulations in the European Union).

1. Eligibility for Monetization

Monetization on TrekJoin is permitted only for content, activities, and offers that:

  • relate to travel, route planning, sharing experiences, information, recommendations, or another legitimate purpose of the platform,
  • comply with the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, applicable law, and the rules of payment service providers,
  • do not violate the rights of third parties or accepted standards of conduct.

2. Content and Activities That May Not Be Monetized

The following may not be monetized on TrekJoin:

  • pornographic, erotic, sexually explicit, or sexualized content,
  • the offering of sexual services, escort services, or similar activities,
  • content or services that violate the law, third-party rights, or the rules of payment partners,
  • content that TrekJoin is unable to verify as compliant with these Terms or with the requirements of payment partners,
  • content that is misleading, abusive, fraudulent, or unrelated to a legitimate platform purpose.

3. Review, Verification, and Compliance

TrekJoin may require additional information, identity verification, payment onboarding, account verification, or other compliance steps before enabling or continuing monetization features.

TrekJoin may also review monetized content, creator profiles, and related activity to ensure compliance with its policies and with the requirements of payment providers, banks, card networks, and other partners.

4. Temporary Blocking and Review of Content

If TrekJoin suspects a violation of the rules, TrekJoin may first temporarily block or hide the relevant content for review.

If the violation is confirmed, the content may be removed, an internal report may be created, and additional proportionate measures may be taken.

5. TrekJoin’s Rights in Relation to Monetization

TrekJoin may at any time:

  • temporarily suspend monetization or payouts for review purposes,
  • request additional information or verification,
  • withhold, deny, or revoke access to monetization,
  • remove content that violates the rules,
  • suspend or terminate the user account.

These measures may be taken where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with legal obligations, enforce platform policies, reduce fraud or abuse risk, or satisfy third-party compliance requirements.

6. Payment Partner Requirements

The user acknowledges that TrekJoin may be bound by the rules of payment service providers, banks, card networks, and other partners, and TrekJoin may take any measures necessary to ensure compliance with such rules.

Access to monetization may be denied, limited, suspended, or terminated if required by those rules or if TrekJoin reasonably determines that continued monetization creates legal, payment, compliance, safety, or reputational risk.

7. No Guaranteed Availability of Monetization

Monetization features are provided subject to availability, eligibility, technical limitations, compliance requirements, and TrekJoin’s business decisions. TrekJoin does not guarantee that any user will be approved for monetization or that monetization features will remain continuously available.

8. Language Versions

These Creator and Monetization Terms may be available in multiple languages. Non-English versions may be created by automated translation. In the event of any conflict or ambiguity, the English version shall prevail to the extent permitted by applicable law.
