Copyright and Notice Policy (DMCA & EU Notice-and-Action)

1. Introduction

TrekJoin is a community-based platform that allows users to publish, share, and monetize travel-related content. We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same.

This policy describes how copyright infringement claims may be submitted and handled in accordance with:

• the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and
• the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) notice-and-action requirements.

2. Submitting a Copyright Notice

If you believe that content available on TrekJoin infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice including the following information:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
• Identification (URL or sufficient detail) of the allegedly infringing content;
• Your full name and contact information (email address required);
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
• A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, where applicable, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
• Your electronic or physical signature (typing your full name is sufficient).

3. Review and Action

Upon receipt of a valid notice, TrekJoin may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. The affected user may be notified and provided with an opportunity to respond.

TrekJoin acts as an intermediary service provider and does not pre-screen all user content. We respond to specific, properly submitted notices.

4. Counter-Notice

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled in error, you may submit a counter-notice including:

• Your name and contact information;
• Identification of the removed content and its prior location;
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was due to mistake or misidentification;
• A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts in the United States (for DMCA purposes), where applicable;
• Your electronic or physical signature.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, TrekJoin may restore the content unless the original claimant initiates legal action within the timeframe required by applicable law.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

TrekJoin may suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights.

6. EU Notice-and-Action (DSA Compliance)

Users in the European Union may report illegal content, including copyright infringement, through the same contact provided above or through any designated reporting mechanism available on the platform.

TrekJoin will review notices in a timely, diligent, and non-arbitrary manner. Affected users may request a review or clarification regarding moderation decisions.

7. Good Faith Requirement

Submitting false, misleading, or abusive notices may result in liability under applicable law.

8. Limitation of Role

TrekJoin operates as a hosting service provider for user-generated content. We do not assume ownership of user content and are not responsible for monitoring all content prior to publication.
